Video-based bike fitting: the way to your ideal position
This briefing walks you through your personal bike fitting step by step. We start with your background, then analyse your movement from video, and finally go deep into the biomechanical detail to set your bike up around you.
Step 1 — About you
Before touching the bike we need to know you, your bike and your goals.
Step 2 — Your video
A clip filmed from the side on an indoor trainer. Your joint angles are measured in motion, across every pedal revolution — not from a single still frame.
Step 3 — Analysis and recommendations
Saddle height, saddle position, hip angle and crank length, cockpit, cleats and frame size — each with concrete adjustments in millimetres.
About you
Pre-fit assessment. Everything the analysis needs to know before it reads your video.
Upload your bike fitting video
To measure your joint angles in motion, we need a clip of you riding.
- Put your bike on an indoor trainer.
- Film yourself from the side, at exactly 90 degrees — your whole body and the bike in frame.
- Pedal for a few minutes at moderate to hard effort.
- 15 to 30 seconds from that stretch is enough for the analysis.
Side-view clip (required)
Optional: by default a section from the middle of the clip is analysed. Only fill these in if you want a specific stretch.
Front-view clip (optional, for knee tracking)
Camera centred ahead of the bike, roughly at knee height. Only this perspective can show whether your knee tracks sideways while pedalling — the basis for the wedge recommendation.
